Peter Stevens’s Cambridge lecture on banking after 2007

The former CreditSquare senior adviser addressed the Mathias Economics Society at Downing College on 19 November 2015 about his experience of the financial crisis.

On 19 November 2015 Peter Stevens, a senior adviser to the former CreditSquare, spoke to the Mathias Economics Society of Downing College, Cambridge. The company published a short account on 4 December under Oscar Fransson’s byline. The subject was the changing role of banks after the 2007 crash.

The perspective of the lecture

Stevens drew on his experience of working in the City through the crisis and discussed how banking had developed since then. The surviving notice points readers to his own summary of the talk. It gives the speaker, venue and subject, but it does not reproduce his lecture or report findings from a research study.

For numerical evidence from the same period, the Q2 credit release records lenders’ and borrowers’ views alongside lending data. The historical team page places Stevens’s role alongside the people who produced that research.
